The turn-based gameplay encompasses huge armies with dozens of units. From infantry companies to tank battalions to godlike Titans, every battle offers epic scale. The resource system requires strategic thinking about requisition and reinforcements, with each decision affecting the overall campaign.

The full-motion video cutscenes were impressive for their time and captured the grim atmosphere of the 41st millennium.
